Out of character – Adult Acting Class for 18+ from Innovations Theatre School (ITS)
Class description: Out of character is an acting class for adults who want to build real performance skills without the pressure to be perfect. Through improv, character work, and scene study, you’ll learn how to think on your feet, connect with others, and make bold, confident choices, all while having fun. Expect exercises that sharpen listening, presence, and spontaneity, plus chances to step into characters wildly unlike yourself and bring scripts to life in fresh, authentic ways. This class is open to all experience levels.
Price: €150 per term per term – comprised of 10 x 2 hr classes
Format: 10 week long term comprised of 10 x 2 hour classes.
(A short closed door performance will be decided at the discretion of both the teacher and students is not to be advertised)

Course Instructor: Lily Henrich-Doyle
Lily started off acting at the tender age of 12 at Innovations Theatre School, becoming an assistant drama teacher in her final years. She then went on to study advanced actor training with Bull Alley Theatre Training Company where she received her ATCL in Classical acting. Having worked mostly in theatre, Lily’s professional debut was as Danielle in Catherine Hudson’s HOLIA (Bewley’s Café Theatre). Since then, she has gone on to play such parts as Cathy in Unbroken Circle (European debut tour), Emer in Family Plot, Lady Fidget in The Country Wife, Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Alice Beineke in The Addams Family Musical (Civic Theatre Tallaght). As a teacher, Lily has worked in a number of primary and secondary schools directing showcases, nativities and recitals as well as teaching workshops in drama, dance, improv and movement. In 2024, Lily won Best Actress award at the American Filmatic Arts Awards for short film Lola
