Innovations Theatre School (formerly called the Performing Arts Stage School) was founded in 1998 by American actress/singer Anne Shumate. Since that time, hundreds of young have learned new skills, made new friends, developed healthy self-confidence, and found joy in the theatre arts.
We are not an exam-oriented school; rather we focus on performance and stage-craft skills, as well as the disciplines of rehearsal, team work and mutual respect – attributes that transfer to all areas of life.
Our enthusiastic tutors are qualified educators and experienced performers and all have been Garda vetted. All students participate in all classes, and in a professionally staged full-length theatre show each year, alongside other showcases and performance opportunities.
Entrance to the school is by informal audition at one of our Open Day classes. These take place twice each year, when prospective students can take part in a full two-hour class session, incorporating a short audition to ensure that the student and school are suited to each other
